Alpine Frost began in 2007 with a single van, a refrigeration ticket and a frustration we kept hearing from homeowners in the high country: their heating and cooling simply gave up when the weather turned extreme. Systems were being sold by the box and fitted by the hour, with nobody actually engineering them for the conditions they had to survive. We set out to do the opposite.

From the start, every job opened the same way — with a proper load calculation. We measure room volumes, insulation, glazing and the way a household actually lives, then size a system to perform on the coldest realistic night and the hottest afternoon, not some comfortable average. It's slower than guessing, and it's the entire reason our installs hold their temperature, run quietly and cost less to operate year after year.

Two decades on, we've grown into a full team of licensed, ARC-certified technicians and design engineers, but the principles haven't changed. We still give fixed-price quotes so there are no surprises. We still tell you honestly when a repair makes more sense than a replacement.
