Custom Fabrication

If it doesn't exist, we'll make it

The best builds need parts no catalogue sells. Our in-house fab shop designs and TIG-welds bespoke intakes, manifolds, mounts, catch cans and brackets in stainless and aluminium — engineered to fit your car perfectly.

Custom Fabrication

Sooner or later, every serious build hits a wall that no catalogue can solve. A turbo that needs a manifold nobody makes. An intercooler that demands custom piping. A swap that needs mounts, a crossmember and a fuel setup fabricated from scratch. This is where a real workshop earns its name — and where Midnight Touge does some of its best work. Our fabrication bench is the heart of the shop, and we genuinely enjoy making the impossible bolt on.

Custom fabrication is equal parts art and engineering. A beautifully welded part that does not flow, fit or survive is just jewellery; a functional part that looks like it was made in the dark lets the whole build down. We aim for both — components that perform under load and look like they belong on a magazine-feature car, because in this culture how a build is finished matters almost as much as how it runs.

What we fabricate

  • Tubular exhaust manifolds and turbo manifolds in stainless
  • Custom intake manifolds, plenums and throttle setups
  • Charge piping, intercooler mounts and radiator setups
  • Engine and gearbox mounts, crossmembers and subframe work
  • Catch cans, surge tanks, fuel rails and bracketry
  • Sump, oil-system and breather fabrication for high-load builds

TIG-welded, properly engineered

We fabricate primarily in stainless steel and aluminium, TIG-welded for clean, strong, repeatable joints. But the weld is only the visible part of the job. Before a torch ever sparks, we are thinking about flow, clearances, thermal expansion, vibration and how the part will be serviced down the track. We mock up, test-fit and refine until everything sits right, then finish with proper bracing and mounting so nothing cracks the first time you load it up.

Good fabrication also respects the rest of the car. A manifold that fouls the steering, piping that melts a loom or a catch can mounted where you can never empty it are the hallmarks of a rushed job. We route, clock and support every part with the whole engine bay in mind, leaving you a build that is tidy, accessible and genuinely usable — not a puzzle the next mechanic has to fight.

From sketch to signed-off part

Some jobs arrive as a clear drawing; most arrive as a problem and a rough idea. Either way the process is the same. We talk through what the part needs to do, mock it up in the car, fabricate it, test-fit it, and only call it finished once it fits, flows and looks the part. For high-stress components we factor in the loads from the outset, and where compliance or engineering certification is involved we build to those standards so your one-off can be signed off with confidence.

If your build needs something that does not exist yet, that is exactly the kind of challenge we look forward to. Bring us the problem and we will fabricate the solution — made to measure, built to last and finished to a standard you will want to show off.

// FAQ

Custom Fabrication questions

Absolutely. Most of our fab work starts as a rough concept or a problem to solve. We mock up in the car, refine the design with you and build from there — no formal CAD drawing required.

Primarily stainless steel and aluminium, TIG-welded. We choose the material and gauge to suit the part's job, whether that's a hot exhaust manifold or a lightweight catch can bracket.

Where a part is safety- or compliance-related, we fabricate to the relevant standards from the start and document the work so it can be certified where required.
