Heat that performs when it matters

At altitude, heating is not a comfort feature — it is the system the whole chalet depends on. Standard heat pumps lose capacity exactly when you need them most, and undersized boilers leave cold corners that never quite warm through. ALPCREST specifies cold-climate equipment rated to deliver its full output well below −25°C, paired with hydronic underfloor circuits that turn entire floors into gentle, even radiators.

The combination gives you deep, radiant warmth that rises evenly from the floor, with no fierce hot spots and no drafts. Heat pumps draw the majority of that energy from the outside air or ground, so you stay warm for a fraction of the running cost of direct electric or oil heating — a saving that compounds across a long alpine season.

Designed around your chalet

We model heat loss room by room, accounting for glazing, exposure, altitude and how the building is used. From there we design a system that can be zoned — warming the spaces you live in while idling the ones you don't. Manifolds, buffer tanks and weather-compensated controls keep the system efficient and responsive, ramping output ahead of an incoming cold front rather than chasing it.

For larger lodges we integrate multiple heat sources and back-up provision, so a single component never leaves you cold. Everything is commissioned, balanced and documented, with flow temperatures optimised for the lowest possible energy use at your target comfort level.

Good to know

Frequently asked

Modern cold-climate units do — when correctly sized. We specify models proven to deliver rated output far below freezing and back the design in writing.

Often yes. We can integrate a heat pump alongside an existing boiler in a hybrid arrangement, using each where it is most efficient.
