Air Conditioning Installation

A correctly installed air conditioner is the product of arithmetic before it is the product of labour. KLIMAWERK engineers each installation from a full heat-load assessment — orientation, glazing, insulation, occupancy and infiltration are entered into a Manual-J style model so the equipment we specify matches the room it will serve. Oversized systems short-cycle, waste energy and fail early; undersized systems never reach setpoint. We refuse to do either.

Once the system is specified, the physical work follows a fixed protocol. Refrigerant lines are flared, pressure-tested with dry nitrogen and held to confirm a leak-free circuit before any gas is released. The vacuum is pulled to below 500 microns and the decay is logged. Condensate falls are set with a level, brackets are fixed into structure rather than plasterboard, and every penetration is sealed and weatherproofed. The result is a system that runs quietly, drains reliably and holds its charge for the life of the equipment.

We install split systems for single rooms, multi-head systems where one outdoor unit serves several zones, and fully ducted systems for whole-home or whole-floor comfort. Inverter compressors are standard across our range because they modulate output to demand, holding temperature within a tight band while drawing a fraction of the power of fixed-speed units. Where it suits the build, we integrate zoning controllers so unused rooms are not conditioned at all.

Commissioning is where most installers stop and where we begin the final third of the job. Superheat and subcooling are measured and tuned, airflow is balanced across outlets, and the controller is programmed to the occupants' actual schedule. You receive a commissioning sheet recording the as-built figures — the same document our maintenance team reads on every future visit. Nothing about the system is left to memory.

Workmanship is backed in writing. Installation carries a labour warranty alongside the manufacturer's equipment cover, and our technicians are fully licensed for refrigerant handling and electrical connection. From the first site visit to the final calibrated setpoint, the standard is the same: measured, documented, German-engineered precision applied to Australian conditions.
