Pitted bumpers and dull, dented trim can let down an otherwise stunning car. Brightwork is the jewellery of a classic — it catches the light and the eye — and restoring it properly is a craft all of its own.
We manage triple-plate re-chroming, straighten and polish stainless and aluminium trim, and restore the small details — badges, emblems, lenses and scripts — that make a car feel finished rather than merely painted.
Brightwork brought back
There is a world of difference between a quick flash of chrome and a proper triple-plate finish that lasts. We work with trusted platers and do the metal preparation that determines how good — and how durable — the final plating will be.
- Triple-plate copper-nickel-chrome re-plating

The details that finish a car
A concours judge and a casual onlooker notice the same thing: crisp, even, gleaming trim. We treat every clip, fastener and emblem as part of the whole, so the brightwork complements the paint instead of fighting it.

Common Questions
Can pitted bumpers be saved?
Most can. Pitting is ground out and the metal is built back up before plating. Severely rotted pot metal may need repair or replacement, which we will assess.
Is stainless trim re-chromed?
No — stainless and aluminium are straightened and polished rather than plated. We restore each to the correct finish for its material.
Do you restore badges and emblems?
Yes, including re-plating and re-colouring the enamel detail on scripts and emblems.
