Dyno Tuning & Diagnostics

Proof on paper. Power you can feel.

Guesswork costs engines. On the dyno we measure exactly what your car makes at the wheels, how it behaves across the rev range, and whether it is running safely. Then we tune it — fuel, timing and air — until it is making the most power it safely can.

Diagnostics is the other half of the room. Old cars develop quirks, and modern tools combined with old-school know-how let us find the real cause instead of throwing parts at a symptom.

On the rollers

Our chassis dyno gives us a controlled, repeatable environment to dial in carburettors, EFI and ignition. You leave with a printout that shows your power and torque curves and the confidence that the tune is safe, not just loud.

  • Chassis-dyno power and torque runs
  • EFI and carburettor tuning
  • Ignition timing and curve optimisation
  • Air/fuel ratio logging and correction
  • Before-and-after verification
  • Driveability and idle-quality tuning

Diagnostics that find the cause

A misfire, a hot-running engine or an electrical gremlin can have a dozen possible causes. We work methodically — compression and leak-down testing, fuel and spark analysis, wiring tracing — to identify the actual fault and fix it once.

How We Work

01

Baseline run

A safe initial pull to see where the car stands.

02

Diagnose

Logging and inspection to find anything holding it back.

03

Tune

Fuel, air and timing optimised for safe, repeatable power.

04

Verify

Final runs, printout and a road test to confirm it all.

Common Questions

Do I need a dyno tune after engine work?

For any significant performance change, yes. A proper tune protects the engine and unlocks the power the parts can actually make.

Can you tune a carburetted car?

Absolutely. The dyno is just as valuable for jetting and timing a carb as it is for mapping EFI.

My car runs rough — can the dyno help?

The dyno plus our diagnostics let us reproduce and isolate driveability issues under load that are impossible to chase on the street.
