Custom Fabrication & Metalwork

When the part does not exist, we make it.

Half a century of weather, rust and previous "repairs" means the part you need is often unavailable at any price. That is where our fabrication bench earns its keep. From a single rust-free floor section to a complete custom chassis, we shape metal by hand the way it was always done.

Using the English wheel, planishing hammer, bead roller and TIG welder, our fabricators reproduce factory panels and build entirely custom pieces that fit like they were stamped in the factory.

Fabrication services

No two projects are alike, which is exactly why fabrication matters. We make what the catalogue cannot, and we make it right.

  • Hand-formed steel and aluminium body panels
  • Rust repair sections and full floor pans
  • Custom and reproduction chassis and subframes
  • Roll cages and chassis stiffening
  • One-off brackets, mounts and exhaust systems
  • Smoothed firewalls, tubbed wheel arches and shaved trim

The craft behind the steel

Good metalwork is invisible. When a panel is shaped correctly, the gaps are even, the reflections are straight, and no filler is needed to fake a shape. We chase that standard on every piece, because the bodywork underneath determines how good the paint can ever be.

Every weld is dressed, every join is sealed, and every panel is test-fitted on the car before it is committed to paint.

How We Work

01

Pattern

We take patterns and measurements from the car or an original part.

02

Form

Metal is shaped on the wheel and hammer to the exact contour required.

03

Fit & weld

Panels are test-fitted, TIG-welded in, dressed and sealed.

04

Finish

Surfaces are metal-finished ready for primer — minimal filler, maximum integrity.

Common Questions

Can you make a panel that is no longer reproduced?

Yes. With an original to pattern from — or even good photos and measurements — we can fabricate panels that are no longer available anywhere.

Do you do roll cages for track cars?

We build cages to common motorsport standards. Tell us the sanctioning body and we will build to spec.

Is fabricated metal better than a reproduction panel?

Often, yes. Many cheap reproduction panels fit poorly. A hand-fitted section can be more accurate and longer-lasting.
