Smart & Connected

Wake to a full battery, every single morning.

Your electric vehicle deserves a home that keeps pace with it. We install smart EV chargers that charge quietly overnight so you leave the driveway with a full battery and zero fuss.

There is something quietly satisfying about unplugging your car in the morning and watching the range reading sit comfortably at 100 percent. No detours to a public charging station, no waiting, no range anxiety threading its way into your commute before it has even begun. A professionally installed home EV charger turns that feeling into an everyday routine.

Choosing the right charger for your home

Not every charger suits every home or every vehicle, and the difference in daily convenience can be significant. A standard 7kW AC wall charger is the most popular choice for households where the car sits idle overnight. It will replenish most electric vehicles from near-empty to full in six to eight hours, which means you plug in after dinner and wake to a complete charge. For households with two EVs, or for those who drive high kilometres and need faster turnaround, a 22kW three-phase charger dramatically cuts charge times and future-proofs your setup as battery capacities continue to grow.

We also take your switchboard into account from the very first conversation. Older switchboards may need an upgrade before a high-draw charger can be safely added to the circuit. Our electricians carry out a full load assessment so nothing is left to guesswork, and so your home's electrical system continues to perform reliably after installation.

Smart charging and load management

Modern EV chargers do far more than push current into a battery. OCPP-compliant smart chargers communicate with your home energy management system and, where applicable, your solar inverter. This means your car can be programmed to charge during off-peak tariff windows, to draw primarily from excess solar generation during the day, or to pause charging automatically when other high-draw appliances bring the home close to its maximum load. Load management is not a luxury — for many households it is the feature that keeps electricity bills genuinely reasonable as EV ownership becomes the norm.

  • 7kW and 22kW AC wall charger supply and installation
  • Single-phase and three-phase circuit assessment and connection
  • OCPP smart charger configuration and app setup
  • Solar and home energy management system integration
  • Switchboard upgrades and dedicated EV circuit installation

Every installation is completed to Australian Standard AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 3001.2 requirements. We use weatherproof enclosures rated for outdoor mounting, run dedicated circuits with appropriate cable sizing, and fit the charger at a height and position that makes daily use natural and convenient. Conduit is run neatly and painted where it crosses rendered or painted surfaces.

An investment that pays you back

A quality home charger typically pays for itself within a few years through the difference between home electricity rates and public charging costs, and the value it adds to your property is increasingly recognised by buyers. More importantly, it changes the texture of owning an electric vehicle. The car becomes as easy to live with as any appliance in the house. You think about charging the way you think about charging your phone overnight — you simply do it, and it works.

Good to know

Do I need a three-phase supply to install a fast EV charger? +

A 7kW charger runs comfortably on a standard single-phase supply, which most Australian homes already have. A 22kW charger requires a three-phase connection. We will confirm during our site assessment which supply type your home has and whether an upgrade is worthwhile for your usage patterns.

Can my EV charger work with my solar panels? +

Yes. OCPP-enabled smart chargers can be configured to prioritise charging from solar export, so excess energy from your panels goes into your battery rather than back to the grid at a low feed-in tariff. We set this up during commissioning and walk you through the app controls.

How long does installation take? +

Most single-charger installations are completed in three to five hours. If your switchboard needs an upgrade or cable runs are longer than usual, we will give you a clear timeframe before any work begins so there are no surprises on the day.
