Cold air, on demand
When the air con blows warm, comfort and concentration both suffer. We re-gas, leak-test and repair vehicle air conditioning systems at your home or workplace.

Vehicle air conditioning is one of those systems you barely think about until it stops working — usually on the first really hot day of the year, when every workshop suddenly has a two-week wait. Beyond comfort, a working air con is a genuine safety feature: it keeps you alert on long drives, demists the windscreen fast in wet weather, and keeps passengers and cargo at sensible temperatures. The Fleet Concierge services and repairs air conditioning on-site, so you are not left sweating it out in a queue.
Why air con stops blowing cold
Air conditioning works by circulating refrigerant gas under pressure. Over time, every system slowly loses a small amount of that gas through its seals — this is normal — and eventually there is not enough left to cool effectively. A bigger or faster loss usually points to a leak. Common causes of weak or warm air con include:
- Gradual refrigerant loss over years of normal use
- A leak in a hose, seal, condenser or the compressor
- A failing compressor — the heart of the system
- A blocked or filthy cabin filter restricting airflow
- Electrical or control faults stopping the system engaging
Re-gas, but diagnose first
A re-gas restores the correct amount of refrigerant and the right lubricating oil to the system, and for a system that has simply lost gas slowly over the years, that is all it needs to blow ice-cold again. But a re-gas is not a cure for a leak — if the system has lost gas quickly, simply topping it up means it will be warm again within weeks. That is why we leak-test before re-gassing. We identify whether you have a normal slow loss or an actual leak, and if there is a leak we locate and quote the repair rather than selling you a re-gas that will not last.
This honest approach saves you from paying for the same job twice. Many places will happily re-gas a leaking system and watch you come back; we would rather fix it properly the first time. We also service the components around the system — replacing a clogged cabin filter, for instance, can transform airflow and is often the real reason the air feels weak.
A/C is a year-round system
It is easy to think of air conditioning as a summer-only luxury, but it earns its keep all year. The same system rapidly clears a fogged-up windscreen on a cold, wet morning — a real safety benefit — and running the air con periodically through winter keeps the seals lubricated and prevents the gas loss and component seizures that come from leaving it unused for months. Looking after it year-round is the best way to avoid that dreaded warm-air surprise when the heat arrives.
If your air con is not as cold as it should be, do not wait for the first heatwave and the inevitable queue. Book an on-site re-gas and leak test, and we will have cold air flowing again wherever your car is parked.
Air Conditioning Re-Gas questions
Usually low refrigerant from slow loss over the years, or a leak. It can also be a failing compressor, a blocked cabin filter or an electrical fault. We leak-test to find the real cause.
We leak-test before re-gassing. Re-gassing a leaking system only blows cold for a few weeks, so we find and quote any leak first — and fix it properly.
Yes. Our vans carry the equipment to leak-test, re-gas and repair air conditioning on-site at your home or workplace.
Yes — periodically. It keeps the seals lubricated, prevents gas loss and seizures, and rapidly demists your windscreen on cold, wet mornings, which is a genuine safety benefit.
