Dirt In Our
Blood.
A fabrication-led workshop run by people who race. We build cars for the stage, not the showroom.
The Stage Rally & Dirt Prep started in a single rented bay with one welder, a borrowed jig and a stubborn belief that grassroots competitors deserved the same standard of preparation as the factory teams. Nearly two decades later we are still in the workshop, still covered in grinder dust, and still building cars for people who race on dirt.
We are a fabrication-led shop. That distinction matters. Plenty of garages will fit parts to a rally car; far fewer can design and weld a competition roll cage to the current rulebook, seam-weld a shell into a stiff platform, rebuild a sequential gearbox on the bench, and then tune the engine that drives it. We do all of that under one roof, with the same crew, so nothing falls through the cracks between specialists who never talk to each other.
We build for the whole event, not the dyno sheet
Anyone can chase a big horsepower number. The hard part — the part that actually wins club championships — is building a car that makes usable power, survives a full event, and gives the driver the confidence to lean on it. So we engineer reliability in first: baffled oiling, rebuildable dampers, underbody armour and a wiring loom that will not strand you on a liaison. The performance is built on top of a car that finishes.
Everything we do is documented. You get setup sheets for your suspension, build records for your engine and gearbox, and a running service history for the car. When something needs attention we can look back at exactly what was done and when, instead of guessing. That discipline is the difference between a car that gets faster every season and one that quietly falls apart.
Grassroots to the core
We came up through club rallies, rallycross heats and dirt ovals, and that is still where our heart is. We understand tight budgets, borrowed trailers and the panic of a Friday-night thrash before a Saturday event. We will tell you straight what your car genuinely needs versus what can wait, because we have been the broke competitor staring at a quote too. Our job is to get you to the start line prepared and to the finish ramp in one piece — event after event, season after season.
What We Stand On
Engineered, not bodged
Every cage, mount and plate is designed to the rulebook and built to inspect. If a scrutineer would question it, we do not weld it.
Documented work
You leave with setup sheets, build records and a service history. No mystery cars, no "trust me".
Grassroots first
We came up through club rallies and dirt ovals. We build for real budgets and real calendars, not just hero cars.
Built to finish
Outright pace means nothing from the side of a stage. Reliability is the first thing we engineer in.
