Most "mechanical" DNFs are electrical. We build motorsport looms that survive vibration, heat and water — and that a co-driver can fault-find in the dark.
Ask any service crew what really ends rallies and a lot of them will say wiring. Chafed looms, corroded connectors and a single failed earth will strand a car stage after stage of vibration and water crossings. A purpose-built motorsport loom removes that whole category of failure.
We strip out tired factory wiring and build motorsport-grade looms from the ground up — correct wire spec, sealed connectors, proper strain relief and a switch panel laid out so the crew can operate and diagnose the car under pressure.
Built to survive vibration, heat and water
We use motorsport-spec wire and concentric-twist construction, sealed Deutsch and motorsport connectors, and abrasion-resistant heat-shrink sleeving. The loom is routed away from heat and sharp edges, clamped at sensible intervals, and supported so nothing hangs and chafes. Earths — the cause of an astonishing share of intermittent gremlins — are dedicated, clean and corrosion-proofed.
Every circuit is fused and labelled. When something does go wrong on an event, the crew can trace it from a documented diagram instead of probing blindly. That is the difference between a five-minute fix at service and a retirement.
Safety systems done to the rulebook
We fit and wire the safety systems your category requires: an FIA-pattern master kill switch reachable by both the driver and an outside marshal, fire-suppression triggers, rain lights and the warning circuits scrutineers will check. These are wired to cut the right systems in the right order, because a kill switch that does not actually kill the engine is a failed item — and a real hazard.
The switch panel itself is designed around the driver: clearly marked, reachable with belts done up, and logically grouped. We can integrate dash displays, data loggers and intercom systems into the same tidy, documented harness.
