A rally engine lives a brutal life — full throttle, full revs, heat, dust and vibration, often for days at a time. Building one is less about chasing a peak number and more about making reliable, usable power that survives the whole event. We build naturally aspirated and turbocharged rally engines designed to do exactly that.

Every build is blueprinted: the block is machined true, the rotating assembly balanced, and clearances set for sustained high-rpm abuse rather than a single dyno pull. We then validate the result with data so you leave with a known, repeatable engine, not a mystery.

Built to survive the whole rally

We start with the bottom end — forged pistons and rods where boost or rpm demands them, a balanced and crack-tested crank, and bearing clearances chosen for heat and load. The oiling system gets particular attention because surge and aeration kill more rally engines than detonation does: baffled sumps, accumulators and the right pump spec keep oil where it belongs through long, loaded corners.

Up top we match the head work, cams and valvetrain to the power band you actually use between corners. A peaky engine that only comes alive at the top is slower in the real world than a broad, torquey one you can lean on out of every hairpin.

Cooling and induction that hold up in the dust

Heat is the enemy on a long stage. We spec radiators, oil coolers and intercooling sized for sustained load, route ducting so the cores actually see clean air, and protect everything from stone strike. Air filtration is built for dust — a rally engine that ingests fine grit does not last a season.

For turbo builds we match the compressor to the application and integrate anti-lag and boost control with your ECU so the power is there off the corner without cooking the turbo. The whole package is then dyno-tuned and data-logged to confirm temperatures, pressures and air-fuel ratios are safe under real load.
