Anti-Lag & ECU Mapping

The engine only does what the map tells it. We tune standalone ECUs for instant response off the corner — launch control, flat-shift and anti-lag dialled in safely.

Modern rally performance lives in the ECU. A well-mapped standalone unit turns a strong engine into a weapon: full boost the instant you get back on the throttle, a clean launch off the line, and flat-shifts that never break the drive. A bad map does the opposite — lag, flat spots, and parts that wear out early.

We install and tune standalone engine management on the major platforms, and we set up the motorsport strategies that actually win stage time: anti-lag, launch control, flat-shift, traction strategies and multiple driver-selectable maps.

Strategies that buy you time on the stage

Anti-lag keeps the turbo spooled while you are off the throttle braking into a corner, so boost is there the instant you pick the power back up. We tune it to be effective but sympathetic — aggressive enough to keep the turbo lit, restrained enough not to destroy it or the exhaust. Launch control and flat-shift do the same job at the start line and between gears: maximum drive with minimum thinking.

Where the rules and your driveline allow, we can configure driver-selectable maps — a wet map, a dry map, a fuel-saving map — on a dash switch. The driver picks the tool for the conditions without ever taking a hand off the wheel for long.

Tuned safe, logged, and handed over

Tuning is done methodically: base maps on the dyno under controlled load, then validated on the road or a closed surface under real conditions. We watch air-fuel ratios, knock, exhaust and oil temperatures throughout, because a map that makes a big number but runs the engine lean and hot is a liability, not a result.

You leave with a logged base configuration and a clear explanation of what each strategy does and how to use it. If anything changes — fuel, altitude, a new turbo — we have the baseline data to retune quickly rather than starting from scratch.
