An open diff sends power to the wheel with the least grip — exactly the wrong thing on a loose, broken surface. A properly built limited-slip differential keeps both wheels driving, transforming corner exit traction and the car's willingness to rotate. It is one of the highest-value upgrades a rally car can have.

We build, rebuild and tune limited-slip diffs for front, rear and all-wheel-drive cars, and we service the driveshafts, CVs and tailshafts that have to survive the loads an LSD puts through them.

Diffs tuned to how you drive

Plate-type LSDs can be tuned through ramp angles and preload to control how aggressively they lock under power and on the overrun. We set that behaviour up around the surface and your driving style — more locking for traction out of slow corners, a softer overrun setting to keep the car stable into them. Helical and spool options are available where the application suits them better.

On all-wheel-drive cars the centre and rear diff strategy together decides how the car handles. We can specify and tune the package so the car rotates predictably and puts its power down, rather than understeering into every corner or snapping loose on the exit.

Driveshafts that take the abuse

A locked diff and big torque will find the weakest shaft, joint and stub. We upgrade to heavy-duty CV joints, billet stub axles and stronger tailshafts where needed, and we service the boots and joints religiously because a split boot full of grit destroys a CV in one stage.

Everything is built and assembled as a system. There is no point fitting a bulletproof diff behind driveshafts that shear on the first hard launch — we make sure the whole driveline is matched to the power and the punishment.
