High-Voltage & Three-Phase Power Distribution
Industrial sites routinely operate at 11kV, 22kV, or 33kV primary distribution, stepping down to LV through purpose-built substations. Our teams design and install HV switchgear, ring-main units, package substations, and LV main switchboards to AS/NZS 61439, AS/NZS 60076, and the relevant network distributor specifications. Three-phase LV distribution — including busduct systems, cable trays, armoured cable, and Type 2 surge protection — is engineered for current-carrying capacity, voltage drop, and fault level compliance with AS/NZS 3000 Wiring Rules. Every HV installation concludes with independent commissioning testing, including insulation resistance, power factor, and protection relay testing using NATA-traceable test equipment.

We are experienced in Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, and ABB PLC platforms, providing machine wiring, I/O loop checking, and functional acceptance testing as part of our commissioning scope. Where OEM machine wiring documentation is incomplete or non-compliant with AS/NZS 3000, we issue a formal compliance gap report and remediation proposal before sign-off.

Yes. Our industrial division holds the relevant high-voltage electrical contractor authorisations and our site supervisors carry current HV switching authority cards. All HV work is subject to our Permit to Work and SWMS system, independent commissioning testing, and alignment with the client's safety management system. We provide copies of relevant licences, insurances, and WHS documentation at project mobilisation.
Our scope covers field wiring, instrument loop installation, I/O termination, and functional loop checking from field device to PLC I/O card. We co-ordinate closely with the PLC programmer and OEM commissioning engineers to execute the full I/O acceptance test. Where clients require PLC programming support, we can arrange this through our established relationships with certified Rockwell Automation, Siemens, and Schneider Electric system integrators.
Every shutdown commences with a pre-task briefing, a signed and independently reviewed SWMS, and a documented Permit to Work that identifies isolation points, lock-out/tag-out sequence, test-before-touch requirements, and re-energisation authority. Our supervisors hold confined space and working-at-heights certificates where required, and all test equipment is current on calibration. We align our shutdown methodology to AS/NZS 4836 and your site's specific critical risk controls.
Our industrial preventative maintenance programmes are scoped to your site's critical assets and regulatory obligations. Typically this covers thermographic infrared scanning of all switchboards and distribution boards, insulation resistance testing of feeders and motors, switchboard internal inspection and cleaning, tightening of all busbars and terminations, and testing of earth fault and overcurrent protection to AS/NZS 3000 Clause 8. All findings are documented with photographic evidence, risk ratings, and a prioritised defect register.
