See the track, and stay in touch
Quality driving lights turn night into day, UHF keeps your convoy connected, and proper wiring means none of it lets you down a thousand kilometres from home.

Auto electrical work is where a lot of touring builds quietly fall apart. Cheap lights, scotch-locked connections and unfused accessory wiring might survive the driveway but they fail when you need them, out in the dust and the wet, far from help. We approach every electrical job like the safety-critical work it is, using correctly rated cable, sealed connectors, proper fusing and tidy routing so your lights, comms and accessories keep working trip after trip, season after season.
Driving lights are the headline upgrade, and the difference between a good set and a cheap set at one hundred kilometres an hour on a dark outback road is enormous. We fit quality LED and laser driving lights and light bars with the beam pattern to suit, a pencil beam to throw distance down the road and a spread beam to light up the verges where the animals come from. We wire them through a relay and dedicated switch so they draw no load through your factory wiring, and we tie them to your high beam so they come on when you need them and stay legal when there is oncoming traffic.
Comms that keep the convoy together
A UHF radio is essential touring kit, for keeping your convoy together, calling road trains on the narrow stuff and getting help when there is no phone signal. We fit quality UHF sets with an aerial mounted and tuned for the best range, run the cabling neatly and set up the head unit or handpiece where you can reach it. We can also wire in dual aerials, external speakers and the accessories that make long days on the radio easier.
- LED and laser driving lights and light bars, beam matched to your needs
- UHF radio installs with tuned aerials for maximum range
- Relays, switch panels and dedicated fused circuits
- Reversing cameras, work lights and camp lighting
- Anderson plugs, USB and accessory outlets
- Fault finding and tidy rewiring of existing setups
Wiring you can trust
Behind every reliable accessory is wiring done properly. We build accessory circuits on their own fused distribution so a fault in one item cannot take out the rest, crimp and seal every connection against vibration and water, and route looms away from heat and sharp edges. If your existing setup is a tangle of cheap connectors and blown fuses, we can untangle it, find the faults and rewire it cleanly so you stop chasing gremlins and start trusting your rig again. Every circuit we build is fused to protect the wire, because an unfused accessory is a fire risk you do not want a thousand kilometres from help.
Switch panels and a tidy dash
As your build grows, so does the number of things you want to control, and a dash full of mismatched aftermarket switches looks messy and confuses everyone but you. We fit clean, labelled switch panels that put your lights, compressor, fridge and accessories at your fingertips, often with backlighting so you can find them at night. We can integrate voltage displays, USB and accessory outlets, and tidy everything behind the dash so the install looks factory rather than cobbled together. Good auto-electrical work should be invisible in operation and obvious in quality the moment you look behind the panel.
Because we do the suspension, dual-battery, lighting and comms under one roof, we can plan your electrical system as part of the whole build rather than a series of bolt-ons that fight each other for power and space. From a single set of driving lights to a full canopy fitout, we will design and install auto-electrical work that lasts. Tell us what you want to run and we will wire it up right.
Auto Electrical & Lighting questions
It depends on your roads. A pencil or spot beam throws light far down the highway, while a spread or flood beam lights the verges where animals appear. Many tourers run a combination, and we help you pick the right mix for your driving.
If you travel in convoy or head into remote country, yes. UHF keeps your group in contact, lets you talk to oncoming road trains and is often your only communication where there is no phone signal. We fit and tune sets for the best range.
Definitely. A lot of our work is untangling cheap, unfused accessory wiring, finding the faults and rewiring it properly with sealed connectors and dedicated fused circuits. We can rescue a problematic setup so it stops failing on you.
