A long-range fuel tank gives you the reach to cross remote tracks like the Canning, the Plenty or the Cape with a real safety margin, instead of strapping jerry cans to the roof rack where they raise your centre of gravity and pose a fire risk. We supply and fit quality long-range and auxiliary tanks engineered for the common touring platforms.

A replacement long-range tank swaps out your factory tank for a larger one, typically lifting a 79 Series, HiLux, Ranger or D-MAX from standard capacity to well over a hundred and fifty litres. An auxiliary tank adds a second tank that transfers or feeds into the main, which suits vehicles where a single replacement is not available. Engineered to clear the tracks

A good tank is shaped and mounted to maintain ground clearance and departure angle, with steel or tough cross-linked polyethylene construction that shrugs off rocks and corrugations. We retain or relocate the factory protection, keep your spare wheel and exhaust clearances correct, and ensure the sender reads accurately so your gauge tells the truth. A tank that hangs low or fouls your recovery angles causes more problems than the range it adds.

Water you can rely on

Water is heavy and bulky, so carrying it under the vehicle keeps your centre of gravity low and frees up canopy space. We fit under-body or in-tray water tanks with food-grade construction, breathers and outlets, plumbed to a pump and tap so you have clean drinking water on tap at camp. For remote crossings we can combine fuel and water capacity to make your rig genuinely self-sufficient for a week or more away from any town. We can also add an inline filter and a gauge so you always know how much water you have left and that it is clean to drink.

Weight, balance and fitting it right

Extra fuel and water add real weight, so we factor it into your overall load and your GVM at the same time as we fit the tanks. A full long-range diesel tank can add over a hundred kilograms, and a full water tank plenty more, so we mount them low and central to keep your handling predictable rather than top-heavy. We protect the tanks with the existing or upgraded underbody guards, secure every line away from heat and chafe, and pressure test the install so there are no leaks on the first corrugated track. Done properly, the extra capacity changes how far you can go without changing how the vehicle drives.
