Dedicated Home Theatre Rooms
A dedicated theatre room gives you control over every variable that affects the experience — light, acoustics, seating geometry and display geometry. Starwatt handles the electrical scope, which is more complex than it appears: a properly equipped theatre room requires dedicated 20-amp circuits for amplifiers, separate earthed circuits for source components to prevent earth-loop hum, rack-mounted power conditioning, in-wall HDMI 2.1 and fibre-optic AV cable runs, RS-232 and IP control wiring for each component, and conduit pathways that allow future cable additions without opening finished walls. We coordinate directly with your builder, joiner and acoustic treatment supplier to ensure the room is built and wired correctly from the beginning.

Projectors, Screens and Display Calibration
A 4K laser projector from a premium manufacturer is capable of extraordinary image quality. Whether that quality is realised depends entirely on the brightness environment, the throw ratio, screen gain and size selection, lens alignment, and calibration of the picture parameters to match your specific screen material and room light levels. Starwatt's AV specialists commission projectors using calibration-grade measurement equipment — colorimeters and spectrophotometers measuring Delta-E against the DCI-P3 or Rec.709 colour spaces — so the image you see is the image the filmmaker intended. Screen selection, motorised screen installation and ambient light-rejection screen options are part of our standard theatre design service.
In-Ceiling and In-Wall Speaker Systems
Architectural speakers — installed flush with the ceiling or wall surface — are increasingly capable of reference performance. Brands including KEF, Bowers & Wilkins, Sonance and Klipsch manufacture in-ceiling and in-wall drivers that deliver frequency response, sensitivity and dispersion characteristics appropriate for serious home theatre and high-fidelity music listening. Starwatt selects and positions speakers based on the listening geometry of your room, the ceiling height, and the number of Dolby Atmos height channels you want to deploy. Speaker cable is pre-installed during the construction phase, with conduit for future additional channels, and all terminations are made at a central amplifier rack.

Multi-Room Audio Systems
Multi-room audio extends high-fidelity sound to every space in your home — kitchen, alfresco, bathroom, gym, and terrace — each controllable independently through a smartphone app or keypad. Starwatt installs distributed audio systems on Sonos, Bose Professional, Yamaha MusicCast and Control4 platforms depending on system scale and integration requirements. In-ceiling stereo and mono speaker pairs are pre-wired during construction with dedicated volume control wiring and keypad positions. Source selection, volume and EQ are managed from the central amplifier matrix or individual zone amplifiers, with all logic controlled from a single app.
Cable Management and System Integration
The visible quality of a home theatre or AV system installation is judged entirely by what you can see — and in a correctly executed installation, you should be able to see no cables whatsoever. Starwatt routes all speaker, HDMI, control and power cabling through the wall or ceiling cavity, emerging only at the exact location of each component. Equipment racks are wired internally with correctly dressed and labelled looms, with patch bays for source switching and a structured cable-management spine that allows individual components to be swapped without disturbing adjacent wiring. The finished result is a system that looks as engineered as it sounds.
Home Theatre & AV questions
A functional dedicated theatre room works from around 4 metres wide by 5 metres long, which allows appropriate seating distance for a 120-inch screen. Larger rooms — 5m by 7m and above — provide more flexibility in speaker placement and seating rows. Room geometry matters as much as size; we assess length-to-width ratios and ceiling height to predict low-frequency modal behaviour before recommending a layout.
In many cases, yes. We route speaker cables through roof cavities and wall stud bays, using small access holes that are plastered and painted on completion. HDMI and control cables often run via existing conduit or through ceiling spaces. Where a fully concealed result requires more invasive cable routing, we present the options clearly so you can make an informed decision about the trade-off between concealment and disruption.
