An open diff turns your hard-won power into one smoking rear tyre and a whole lot of nothing. Beyond the gearbox, the diff, tailshaft and axles all have to survive the torque you are now making and put it to the ground evenly. We build and upgrade the whole driveline so grip goes to both wheels, gearing suits how you drive, and nothing in the back of the car becomes the next thing to break.
LSD Builds
A limited slip diff is what lets both rear wheels drive instead of one lighting up and wasting the effort. We build LSDs to suit your use, whether that is a clutch-type that bites hard for drift and drag launches, or a helical unit that behaves better on the street. Preload, ramp angles and clutch condition all shape how the diff feels and when it locks, so we set it up for the balance you want rather than a one-size guess. Fitted and shimmed correctly, a good LSD transforms how the car puts power down out of a corner and off the line.
Tailshafts And Axles
Torque finds the weakest link, and on a hard-launching car that is often the tailshaft or the axles. Factory shafts twist and let go when the power climbs and the tyres finally hook. We supply and fit stronger tailshafts and upgraded axles rated to your power, balanced properly so there are no vibrations at speed, and matched to the driveline angles from any swap or ride height change. A driveline component parting company at full noise is dangerous and expensive, so we would rather build it strong the first time than pick shrapnel out of the tunnel later.
Ratios To Suit
The right final drive ratio can wake a car up more than another few kilowatts. A shorter ratio sharpens acceleration and keeps the turbo in its happy zone, while a taller one calms the revs for highway work. We help you pick a diff ratio that suits your gearbox, your power delivery and where you actually drive, then fit and set up the crown wheel and pinion with correct backlash and pattern. Get the gearing right and the whole car feels more alive, using the power band you have built instead of falling flat between the gears.
Bushes And Angles
A driveline is only as composed as the mounts and angles holding it in place. Worn diff and subframe bushes let the whole assembly move under load, which shows up as clunks, wheel hop and vibration that chew through components and traction alike. We inspect and upgrade bushes to suit your use, firming things up for a build that puts down serious power while keeping it liveable on the street. Driveline angles from a swap, lowered ride height or a taller diff all get checked so the tailshaft and joints are not running at a strain. Get the geometry and mounting right and the whole back of the car settles down and hooks up.
