Boost is brutal on a bottom end that was never built for it. Your factory rods and cast pistons did their job for a hundred thousand kilometres of daily driving, but they were never designed to eat 25psi on a hot Aussie afternoon. We strip your engine to bare metal, blueprint every clearance, and rebuild it around forged internals that shrug off the abuse. This is where a reliable, hard-hitting build actually starts.
Blueprinting, Not Guessing
Blueprinting means we measure everything and assume nothing. Your block gets tanked, decked and honed with torque plates fitted so the bores are round under clamp load, not just on the bench. We check main and rod bearing clearances with a bore gauge, mic every journal, and match your bearing shells to the actual crank you have in front of us, not a spec sheet. Piston-to-wall, ring end gap, deck height and squish are all dialled in for your target boost and fuel. When we sign off on a rebuild, the numbers are written down and repeatable, so if anything ever needs revisiting the baseline is already known.
Forged Where It Counts
Cast pistons crack and factory rods bend or snap long before the fun runs out. We build your bottom end around forged pistons and forged H-beam or I-beam rods sized to your power goal, with ARP hardware clamping it all together. On the RB, 2JZ, 4G63, EJ and SR platforms we know which factory parts survive and which ones are living on borrowed time. Crank gets crack-tested and balanced, oil pump and windage are addressed, and we spec ring packs to suit your boost and fuel. The result is a rotating assembly that holds together when the turbo is screaming and the datalogger shows you are asking a lot of it.
Head Work And Sealing
A strong bottom end is wasted if the top end cannot flow or seal. We pressure test and clean your head, check for warp, cut fresh valve seats and lap valves so compression stays where it should. Valve springs get upgraded to control float at the rpm you actually use, and we degree in cams so the timing is real, not just lined up on the marks. The head gasket and fastener choice matters as much as anything, so we spec a gasket rated for your cylinder pressure and torque it in the correct sequence. Coolant and oil galleries get checked before it all goes back together.
Oiling And Assembly
The best forged internals in the world still die without oil where and when they need it. We address oil pump condition, pickup, restrictors and windage so the bearings stay fed under high rpm and hard cornering, which is exactly when starved builds spin a shell. Assembly is done clean and deliberate, with plastigauge checks, correct fastener stretch or torque, and assembly lube on every bearing so nothing runs dry on first start. Then it gets a careful run-in and a leak check before it sees a dyno. This attention to the boring details is what separates an engine that lasts from one that grenades on the first spirited drive.
Book your engine in for a strip and assessment, and we will give you an honest read on what it needs to survive the power you are chasing.
