Wiring is the nervous system of a serious build, and it's usually the thing that lets a car down. Melted looms, dodgy joins and gremlins that only show up on track are what happen when electrics are an afterthought. RoughEdge builds motorsport wiring properly, with full custom looms, proper connectors, clean dash and data integration and power distribution that's reliable under real load. Full Custom Looms

Factory looms are built for a factory car, not for the engine, sensors and standalone ecu you've thrown at it. We build full custom looms laid out for your exact setup, with correct gauge wire, tidy routing and lengths that fit the car instead of a bird's nest of extensions and joins. Everything's labelled, loomed and supported so it survives heat, vibration and the odd spanner. A properly built loom is one you'll never think about again, which is exactly the point. It's the difference between chasing intermittent faults for years and a car that simply works every time you turn the key.

Motorsport Connectors That Survive

Cheap connectors corrode, back out and fail at the worst possible moment, usually mid-session in the wet. We use proper motorsport-grade connectors that seal against moisture, lock positively and take the abuse of a hard-used car. Sensor connections, ecu plugs and key circuits get built to a standard that holds up to heat cycling and vibration lap after lap. It costs more than crimping some spade terminals together, but electrical reliability is not the place to save money on a car you're leaning on. Build the connections right once and you take a whole category of failures off the table for good.

Dash, Data And PDM

Modern motorsport electronics let you see and control the car like never before. We integrate digital dashes so you get the readouts and warnings that matter, set up data logging so you can actually analyse what the car and driver are doing, and can fit a power distribution module to replace fuses and relays with clean, programmable control. That means fewer things to fail, quick reconfiguration, and proper protection for your circuits. Whether you want a simple, reliable setup or a fully data-driven track car, we build the electronics so the information's there when you need it and the car keeps running when it counts.

Documented And Serviceable

A loom you can't understand is a loom you can't fix in a hurry, so we build ours to be worked on. Wiring is labelled, colour-coded where it helps, and laid out logically so a fault can be traced and sorted instead of turning into an afternoon of guesswork in the paddock. Where it makes sense we provide a wiring diagram for your car, so anyone working on it later, including you, knows exactly what runs where. Building an electrical system that's tidy is the easy part; building one that's still easy to diagnose two years down the track is the bit that separates a proper motorsport loom from a nice-looking one.
