Put the power to the ground
A tune is wasted if the driveline slips. We fit performance clutches, flywheels and driveline components rated to hold your power and survive hard launches.

You can chase peak power all you like, but the engine is only ever as useful as the driveline behind it. The moment your clutch slips, the dyno figure becomes a fantasy. Power that cannot reach the tarmac is power you paid for and never used, and a slipping clutch on a hot lap is a fault that gets worse with every shift.
At XTC Motorsport we spec clutch and driveline packages to your torque figure and your driving, not to a generic part number. A street car that sees the occasional track day has different needs to a launch-it-every-time build, and matching the component to the use is the difference between a clutch that lasts a season and one that cooks in a weekend.
Spec'd to your torque
The first question we ask is simple: what is the car making at the wheels, and how do you drive it? From there we choose a clutch with the right clamp load and friction material, because over-clamping a street car gives you a brutal pedal for no benefit, while under-rating a built engine guarantees slip.
We balance holding capacity against drivability, so the car is still pleasant in traffic if that matters to you, or unapologetically aggressive if it does not. Your call, our job to deliver it.
The full driveline picture
A clutch never works alone. We look at the whole path from crank to contact patch, because a strong clutch in front of a tired driveline just moves the weak link further down the line.
- Performance and multi-plate clutches matched to your torque output
- Lightweight flywheels for faster engine response and quicker shifts
- Upgraded driveshafts and CV joints rated for hard launches
- Limited-slip differentials and uprated diff internals
- Clutch hydraulics, slave cylinders and uprated lines
- Driveline alignment and balancing to kill vibration
Built to survive the launch
Hard launches are where driveline weaknesses show themselves, usually with a bang. We fit components rated to absorb shock loading, and we set them up properly, because the best part in the world fitted with the wrong bite point and a worn pilot bearing is a warranty claim waiting to happen.
We also bed in new clutches correctly and brief you on the first few hundred kilometres, so the friction material seats as it should and the package delivers its full rated life.
Tell us your torque figure and how you use the car, and we will spec a clutch and driveline that holds your power and survives the launch. Get a quote and put it all to the ground.
Clutch & Driveline questions
The classic sign is slip under load: revs climb but speed does not, usually first in the higher gears or on a hard launch. If you have added power through a tune, turbo or supercharger, your standard clutch may already be at or past its limit. Tell us your power figure and symptoms and we will advise honestly.
Not necessarily. We match clamp load and friction material to your actual torque and use, so a street-driven car gets a clutch that holds without a brutal pedal or aggressive bite. If you want a no-compromise race feel we can do that too, but it is a choice rather than a default.
A lightweight flywheel sharpens throttle response and speeds up shifts, which is excellent on track, but it can make low-speed driving and hill starts slightly more involved. For a dedicated track car it is usually worth it; for a daily we will talk through the trade-off before recommending one.
