Find the missing seconds
On the pit wall, every decision is data. We fit lap timers and data loggers, then help you read the traces so you and the car improve together.

Most drivers leave time on the table not because the car is slow, but because they cannot see where they are losing it. A corner that feels fast can be costing you three tenths against a braking marker you are hitting too early. Without numbers, you are guessing. With a logger and a clean dataset, the guesswork stops and the work begins.
At XTC Motorsport we treat your car like a race entry, not a hobby. We fit lap timers and data acquisition systems, wire in the sensors that matter for your goals, and then sit down with you to read the traces. The hardware is only half the job. The value is in turning a wall of channels into two or three clear actions you can take next session.
What we install
We fit GPS-based lap timers for drivers starting out, and full data loggers with CAN integration for those chasing serious gains. From there we add the sensors your programme justifies, so you are paying for data you will actually use rather than channels that sit idle.
- GPS lap timers with predictive timing and video overlay
- Standalone data loggers with CAN bus integration to your ECU
- Wheel speed, steering angle and brake pressure sensors
- Suspension potentiometers for damper and ride-height analysis
- Wideband lambda logging for tuning verification
- Tyre and brake temperature inputs where the category allows
Reading the traces
A logger that nobody reviews is an expensive ornament. After we fit your system we run a debrief session, overlaying your fastest lap against a reference and walking the data corner by corner. We look at minimum corner speed, throttle application, brake release and the shape of your steering input, then translate it into plain language.
The pattern usually repeats: small, consistent gains across many corners add up faster than one heroic braking point. We help you find the tenths that are repeatable, because a lap you can do once is a fluke, and a lap you can do every time is a result.
Built around your goals
A track-day enthusiast chasing a personal best needs a different setup to a club racer building a season-long data history. We scope the system to your category, your budget and the questions you actually want answered, then make sure the install is clean, robust and serviceable in the paddock.
Ready to stop guessing and start measuring? Book a data-logging fit-up and a debrief session, and we will help you read your own traces and find the missing seconds.
Data Logging & Telemetry questions
If you are early in your track-day journey, a GPS lap timer with predictive timing and video overlay will teach you a great deal for a modest spend. Once you are consistent and want to understand why a lap is fast, a full data logger with CAN integration is the next step. We are happy to start you on the simpler kit and upgrade later.
We install using proper looms, fused power and non-invasive sensor mounting wherever possible, so the system can be removed without trace if needed. CAN integration reads data from your ECU rather than altering it, so your engine management is untouched. We document every connection we make.
Both. The install is only half the value, so every fit-up includes the option of a debrief session where we overlay your laps and walk the traces with you. We turn the channels into a short list of specific actions you can take on track next time.
